Aims
The EBCRI Academic Journal aims to:
- Provide a credible, inclusive, and scholar-led platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and graduate students to publish original work across multiple disciplines.
- Foster rigorous, ethical, and transparent scholarship through a double-blind peer review process aligned with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
- Bridge the gap between academic research and real-world practice by encouraging applied, evidence-based inquiry.
- Support the academic and professional growth of emerging researchers — particularly Master’s and Doctoral candidates — by offering a recognised publication avenue for theses, dissertations, and independent studies.
- Promote global accessibility by maintaining a Gold Open Access model with no embargo, ensuring all published content is freely and immediately available to readers worldwide.

The journal welcomes original contributions across the following disciplines and their intersections. Interdisciplinary and cross-cutting research is particularly encouraged.

Types of Manuscripts Accepted
The journal publishes the following categories of scholarly work. Authors must indicate the article type on the title page at the time of submission.
- Original Research Articles: Empirical studies presenting new findings based on primary data collection and analysis. Expected word count: 5,000–8,000 words.
- Review Papers: Comprehensive, critical syntheses of existing literature on a specific topic, identifying trends, gaps, and future directions. Expected word count: 6,000–10,000 words.
- Case Studies: In-depth investigations of specific phenomena, organisations, or contexts, offering practical insights and theoretical contributions. Expected word count: 3,000–5,000 words.
- Conceptual Papers: Theory-building manuscripts that propose new frameworks, models, or perspectives without primary empirical data. Expected word count: 4,000–7,000 words.
- Short Communications: Concise reports on preliminary findings, methodological innovations, or responses to previously published articles. Expected word count: 1,500–3,000 words.
- Condensed Theses & Dissertations: Condensed or full versions of Master’s theses and doctoral dissertations (with appropriate institutional permission), reformatted to meet journal article standards.
What We Do Not Publish
The journal does not accept submissions that fall outside scholarly research, including opinion pieces without empirical or theoretical grounding, promotional or commercial content, undergraduate-level coursework, or manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s ethical and quality standards.
